Key Lime Bars are a rich, flakey hull finished with a scrumptiously sweet, citrusy key lime filling and powdered sugar. The outside to filling proportion is impeccable, they're anything but difficult to make, and they're an immense group pleaser! You can't beat that. 

Serves: 16-20 bars 

Fixings 

Outside layer: 

1 glass unsalted margarine, relaxed 

½ glass powdered sugar 

2 glasses universally handy flour 

squeeze of salt 

Filling: 

4 expansive eggs, gently beaten 

2 glasses granulated sugar 

6 tablespoons universally handy flour 

¼ glass + 2 tablespoons key lime juice 

1 tablespoon key lime get-up-and-go 

powdered sugar, for trimming 

Directions 

Preheat stove to 350 degrees. Splash a 9x13" heating dish liberally with cooking shower. 

Set up the covering: 

In a substantial bowl, beat the spread and ½ glass powdered sugar till light and cushioned, around 2-3 minutes. Include flour and salt, and beat on low speed until simply consolidated, around 1 minute more. Press the mixture equally into the readied skillet and heat on the center rack of the stove 20-25 minutes, or until softly brilliant. Expel from the broiler and cool on a wire rack. 

Set up the filling: 

In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and 2 measures of sugar. Include the flour and race until consolidated. Speed in the lime squeeze and get-up-and-go. Pour over the cooled outside layer, and prepare 25 minutes longer, or until the filling has set. Cool totally on a wire rack. Residue with filtered powdered sugar once cooled, and cut into squares.
