Fixings
BASE
115g/1/2 container/1 US stick liquefied salted spread (or unsalted margarine + 1/4 tsp salt)
1 container squashed Arnott's Marie saltines (11 wafers) or graham wafer morsels (8 wafers) (Note 1)
1 container icing sugar/powdered sugar
3/4 container nutty spread (smooth)
TOPPING
1 container dull chocolate chips - the dissolving kind (US: semi sweet) (Note 2)
2 tbsp nutty spread (smooth)
Directions
Spread and line a 8"/20cm square dish or container with preparing paper.
Place the Base fixings in a bowl and blend until consolidated. Press into the readied container.
Liquefy the Fixing fixings (I do it in the microwave in 2 x 30 second blasts). Pour and spread over the Base - smooth the best or do whirls (see photographs for instances of each).
Refrigerate until set - around 1/2 hours. Expel from ice chest, permit to come to room temp marginally (so top cuts conveniently). Cut into 16 squares (or whatever shape you need!). Best served at room temperature.
Formula Notes:
* Initially distributed June 2015, refreshed with new photographs, words and formula video. No change to formula.
1. Rolls - In the event that you are in the UK, Digestives are incredible for this formula. Something else, some other plain sweet fresh bread (for example not a delicate scone with filling) should work fine - the base has nutty spread as the paste so it's a more adaptable formula than, for instance, cheesecake bases.
You could even attempt bread rolls like oats or chocolate chip scones!
To make the morsels, you can utilize a nourishment processor or pop them in a ziplock sack and utilize a moving pin or can to slam them. Exceptionally helpful!
2. Chocolate - Ensure you use chocolate for cooking/heating, not the eating kind! Also, if your store moves numerous kinds of chocolate chips, get the Softening chocolate chips (rather than the ones that hold their shape in treats/biscuits and so forth) as they liquefy simpler and smoother. This can be made with drain or dim chocolate. I utilize dull - not the costly kind with a high cocoa %, simply typical dim chocolate chips.
3. Capacity - keeps great, around 5 days in a water/air proof compartment. In the event that it's too hot where you are, ice chest is ideal yet serve at room temperature.
4. Gluten Free alternative: A peruser revealed that she utilized 1/2 measures of gluten free pretzels for the base and it worked out incredible! Also, a companion of mine has made this with gluten free plain sweet bread rolls acquired from the store and said she couldn't differentiate in the taste or surface.
5. Sustenance per serving (expecting 16 cuts).
